children’s printmaking workshop
This workshop is especially designed to introduce children to the wonderful world of printmaking. The emphasis of this workshop is on having fun exploring colour and design!
We will start off with the super easy and fun technique of stamping designs onto paper using natural and found materials. We will create colourful abstract patterns and make some pictures using stencils.
Then we will learn how to roll up ink and do some relief printing using natural materials using a small printing press. This is a little more challenging, requiring more precision but very rewarding. The results are often beautiful and surprising. Children will leave the workshop with a lovely selection of their own prints to display!
Age: 6 – 12 years old, each child to be accompanied by an adult
